Spellbound theatre group is looking for youngsters aged between three and 11, to take part in audition workshops for this years chosen show Dr Dolittle.

The two days of fun learning songs, dance routines and improving acting skills take place on April 3 and April 5 at the Assembly Rooms, behind the Memorial Theatre, in Frome.

Here the cast of up to 50 young people from across Somerset and Wiltshire will be selected to attend a week long summer school from July 29 and then perform in the full production of Dr Dolittle from August 8 to August 10.

The show features the memorable songs Talk to the Animals and I've Never Seen Anything Like It and will be a costume extravaganza as half of the cast will be animals - including a short sighted horse, Great Pink Sea Snail and a two-headed Pushmi-pullyu.

Pictured above are some of the cast from last year's Around The World In Eighty Days who performed songs from the show at a Variety Concert held at the Memorial Theatre, Frome, last month.

The sell-out show was organised by Gill Barnes and Frome's Rotary Club to raise money for Critchill School and Harry's Hydro.

Other acts included local singer Tom Carpenter, Danceworks, Woodlanders, members of Frome Operatic Society and some of the children from Critchill.
