Members of a Somerset slimming club have shed a whopping 4,822lb between them in the past year, and now the group is relaunching for 2012.

The Yeovil Slimming World group, run by Shelley Lawrence at St James Church Hall in Preston Road each Wednesday, is hoping to build on its success in 2011.

The group will relaunch on Wednesday, January 11, with a new session starting at 3.30pm, thanks to the increase in demand that has seen nearly 100 members visit each week.

There are also sessions at 5.30pm and 7.30pm, and a Monday group that will meet at 7pm starting on Monday, January 9.
