Somerset men send up to seven bouquets of roses each on Valentine’s day, making the county the Casanova capital of the UK.

The average British Romeo sends three. Online florists Serenataflowers.com said: “Some men spread their bets”.

The top ten counties for sending multiple bouquets were: 1 Somerset, 2 Hertfordshire, 3 Lancashire, 4 Warwickshire, 5 Yorkshire, 6 Norfolk, 7 Fife, 8 Gwent, 9 Antrim and 10 Kent.
