The best place to drink cider is apparently not in the West Country.

The Campaign for Real Ale yesterday announced its National Cider and Perry Pub of the Year 2012 accolade was going to the Royal Oak in Wantage.

The Oxfordshire pub has as many as 15 ciders – most sourced locally – on tap at any one time.

Camra has announced the winning landlords – who have run their pub for nigh on 30 years – to kick-start National Cider and Perry month.
