Somerset cheesemaker honoured with fellowship

A Somerset cheesemaker, an internationally renowned composer for computer game music and a music teacher have been honoured for their work.

Cheesemaker Tom Calver, from Shepton Mallet, composer Richard Jacques and teacher Jan Faulkner were awarded Fellowships from the Wells Cathedral School Foundation.

They join a select band of winners which includes Glastonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis.

Thirty-year-old Mr Calver, along with his father at Westcombe Dairy, make prize-winning traditional cheeses.
