Sam Masters rides at Berwick this weekend
The young Aussie's first aim will be to secure a top-nine finish at Berwick, which would see him move on to one of the 3 ‘semi-final’ rounds that will be held at the end of June.
The qualifiers from those semis will male up the 16 riders who will then battle it out in the Grand Prix Challenge at Goričan in Croatia in September.

The top three in Croatia will then be entitled to a place in the 2013 Speedway GP series.
The meeting at Berwick will provide some tough competition for Masters. Among the other riders in action is current GP star Chris Harris, who reached the final of Saturday's Danish Grand Prix in Copenhagen.
Elite League riders Davey Watt, Danny King and Linus Sundström will be joined by a number of top Premier League riders to complete the line-up.
The meeting will also see ex-Rebel Christian Hefenbrock competing. The German has just returned to competitive racing following the double break of his leg sustained when riding for Somerset at Scunthorpe last September.
