Cold snap sees off local football fixtures
The snow and ice put paid to almost the entire programme of local football at the weekend, with just one Toolstation League match surviving, and all midweek games called off.
All Somerset and Mid-Somerset League matches were postponed and there was also no play in the Frome & District Sunday League.
Saturday's 2-2 draw between Buckland Athletic and Cadbury Heath in the Toolstation Premier Division meant no change to the position of Radstock Town and Bishop Sutton.
However, the result was a good one for third-placed Sutton, who would overhaul Cadbury in second spot with a victory when the two teams meet on Saturday, when Radstock are due to visit Street (both 3pm).

On Tuesday, Sutton host Melksham (7.30pm) and Radstock entertain Hallen (7.45pm).
In Division 1, Welton Rovers are away to Almondsbury UWE on Saturday (3pm).
Meanwhile, the Toolstation League has announced a new sponsor for its Les Phillips League Cup.
Bristol-based Termination Technology Limited are the first sponsors of the competition, which was given its current name in 1988 in memory of the former league chairman, who passed away that year.
A spokesperson for the league said: "Termination Technology were keen to get involved with local sport and grasped the opportunity to support the clubs in the league when they heard that a sponsor was being sought for the cup."
