Skate park man appears on TV
A well-known Cheddar man was on TV plugging a village project that is years ahead of schedule.
Cheddar campaigner Martin Ritchings joined a film crew from ITV Fixers to show them the progress made on the village skate park.

The 24-year-old said during the broadcast: "I think it costs £186,000. We are aiming for £200,000.
"When I first got involved I thought it would take three, four or five years to do. But its been just over a year and nearly built. It's brilliant."

The two-minute short went out during ITV West News on Thursday evening.
The Cheddar Local Action Team member and friend Alex Virdee talked about the skate park giving kids something to do instead of hanging around outside Tesco.
To show the lack of things to do in Cheddar, the pair paid a visit to a basketball court – a single net in the middle of a grassy field with a square-foot of safety padding as its base.
"You get better ones in prison," said Martin.
ITV Fixers, along with vinspired.com, is a campaign to empower 16 to 25 year olds to tackle issues they are passionate about.
Martin credited them for bringing the project to the attention of "a wide spectrum of people" who would not have got involved otherwise.
Thanks were also paid to the skate park's designer and respected skateboarder, March Churchill of Gravity Engineering.
Martin hopes the Cheddar project could turn out to become the best skate park in the south of England.
