Site manager Jason Ricards has won an industry accolade for being one of the best at his job in the UK
Mr Ricards, 38, from Chilcompton has won a National House Building Council Pride in the Job accolade for his work on managing a site for Taylor Wimpey at Glastonbury.
Mr Ricards has worked his way up the building trade since starting off as a carpenter at the age of 16.
Pride in the Job is the only UK-wide competition dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards in house-building.

It represents success for the site manager, his team and associated trades as well as a boost for the reputation of the building company.
Mr Ricards was among 430 site managers in the small, medium, large and multi-storey categories who received an award after being shortlisted from over 13,000.
Mr Ricards, now working in Keynsham, said he was over the moon to receive his award.
