Singing like Angels to aid church cause
A packed audience at St Michael and All Angels Church in Haselbury Plucknett was treated to singing spectacle last week.
A concert which featured the vocal talents of local singers and West End theatrical stars Mike Sterling and Natasha Kemball was held to raise money for the church.
David Bridger, one of the organisers, said: “This marvellous evening was part of the campaign to raise funds for repairs to the church.
“Mike and Natasha, who live together in the village between engagements here and abroad, suggested holding the event and very generously arranged it as a wonderful gesture.

“It was so successful that everybody who attended will be excited to know that we may look forward to another presentation in the future.”
The two singing stars thrilled the audience with a variety of West End hits covering several decades.
Mr Bridger said: “They positively enraptured us. The range, expressiveness and power of Mike’s superb voice clearly showed a star at his peak and Natasha’s voice complemented it perfectly.”
