Helen Sinclair's solitary strike allowed Winscombe to continue their climb up the table with a narrow defeat of visiting Frome.

The first half finished goalless thanks to some solid defending and two excellent saves from Winscombe keeper Shirley Hartshorne.
After a half-time pep talk from skipper Gill Harvey, Winscombe attacked in the second period with renewed vigour and improved accuracy in possession.

A couple of chances from Vicky Pagett went astray before Gail Izzard was able to find Sinclair in space. Playing out of position at centre forward, Sinclair showed good composure to hit the backboard with a crisp strike from the edge of the D.
Frome bounced back and put the home defence under pressure but, in a repeat of the first half, Rachel Wallace, Sarah Kempster and Jo Hann were more than a match for their opponents.
