Simon Ingram on target as Taunton Town beat Cinderford Town
Taunton Town skipper Simon Ingram scored his fifth goal in three games at Wordsworth Drive as the home side won their first match of the season in Division One South & West of the Evo-Stik Southern League, beating Cinderford Town 4-1.
Ingram secured the points on 77 minutes, tucking home a penalty to make it 3-1 after goalkeeper Ben Archer had been red-carded for aiming a head butt at James Blake.
Scott Wilson had fired Cinderford ahead on ten minutes, but Taunton’s Rodney Marsh quickly scored a superb equaliser.
Ingram curled a free-kick around the wall to make it 2-1 and Craig Herrod iced the Taunton cake with a fine finish two minutes from time.
