Shepton flea market attracted eclectic mix of stalls
SHOPKEEPERS in Shepton Mallet recently held a second flea market called Harvest and Fayre to help promote independent trading in the town.
Anna Perra, an organiser of the event, said: “It was good but the weather was not that good. It was very much concentrated more on the Market Cross.
“There were about 30 stalls selling everything from cakes and food to Bric-a-Brac and dresses and selling things they didn’t need any more.”
The event was the second organised by a new group formed called Shepton Mallet Shopkeepers (SMS). They banded together earlier this year in order to promote Shepton’s High Street and raise its profile.
