Shepton Mallet artist Luke Piper is picked for elementary show
A Shepton Mallet artist Luke Piper will exhibit alongside 15 top artists from across the county at the Museum of Somerset in Taunton this spring.
Earth, Air, Fire, Water is being hailed as an exciting and original collection of work from 16 of Somerset's most eminent artists.
Based on works made from forged metal, stone, willow and paper sculpture to ceramics, paintings, prints and photographs, the exhibition focuses on each artist's relationship with the four elements.
Luke, who lives and works in Shepton Mallet, takes part in the exhibition which runs from March 23 to July 6.

The exhibition will provide an insight into Luke's working methods and the way he is inspired by the materials he uses as well as by Somerset itself, with its hills, lowlands and big skies.
Works include large-scale and more intimate sculptures, paper hangings, wood cuts, moody prints and photographs, as well as dazzling glass, ceramics, expressive watercolours and drawings, and bold forged metal.
Earth, Air, Fire, Water is set to be an innovative and fascinating exhibition.
On Saturday, May 25 there will be a free family day where several of the artists will demonstrate their craft, including a stone sculptor, a metalsmith and a charcoal artist.
On June 13 there is an evening of illustrated talks by several of the artists.
Tickets, priced at £6, are available from the museum and many of the artists have international reputations.
