Sexey's School appoint Irfan Latif as new headteacher
A Bruton school has announced the appointment of a new headteacher.
Current headmaster of Sexey's School, Raymond McGovern, will leave to take up a new headship at Easter.
After interviewing a number of candidates for the role, the school's governors have invited Irfan Latif to take over the reins.
In a letter to parents, Mr McGovern said: "Mr Latif will be a real asset to the school and I am sure an outstanding school leader.

Governors have made Mr Latif a formal offer and are awaiting acceptance and the completion of mandatory administrative procedures.
This is expected to be completed next month.
