Services for unemployed young people at Radstock Youth Hub
Young unemployed people can get help with finding work or training opportunities through Bath & North East Somerset Council's Radstock Youth Hub.
The Youth Hub is holding regular drop in sessions on Mondays (12noon-3pm) for young people aged 16-19 who are not in training, education or employment.
Advisors from Learning Partnership West (formally Connexions) will be on hand to offer advice around employment and training opportunities.
Councillor Dine Romero (Lib-Dem, Southdown), Cabinet Member for Early Years, Children and Youth, said: "Through these sessions at Radstock Youth Hub, Bath & North East Somerset Council hopes to help young people to make a positive difference to their lives and develop their skills so they are better equipped in carving out a brighter future for themselves.

"Young people who attend the sessions can have access to everything they need to help them find training or employment – including access to computers, the internet, photocopier and telephone. There's also up-to-date information on the latest jobs and opportunities, as well as support with writing job applications and CVs."
In addition, a 'Job Mother' course is running on Mondays from 1pm to 3pm in partnership with Norton Radstock College. The course helps young people up to the age of 25 to build their job searching, application and interview skills. On completion of the course, entrants will gain a Job Skills qualification and could be given a cash reward after completing course units and gain employment.
Radstock Youth Hub also can provide support for young people on a range of issues such as homelessness, family issues or anything that young people want to talk about.
