Service and book remember fallen
Evercreech's St Peter's Church was filled on Sunday for the traditional Remembrance Day service.
Normally standard bearer Brian Wilson has an escort of two legion members. But this year his escort was made up of two pupils from Evercreech Primary School – Kaitlin Tuthill and Lara Cox.
The salute was taken by villager Chris Wingrove, president of the branch, who served in the Royal Navy.
And, following the wreath-laying ceremony, a record number attended the branch's annual lunch at the Bell Inn where members ands friends enjoyed a fascinating power point presentation given by villagers David and Gillian Lindsay.

The couple are compiling a record of details about all those from the parish who died in both world wars.
The book is an ongoing work in progress, recording details of all those of the parish who had died in the two world wars – where they lived, where they died, their regiments and other personal details.
A copy is available in the church – and can be added to at any time.
