Quadbike theft duo to stand trial at Crown Court
TWO men accused of stealing a quad bike from an address in Crewkerne have elected to stand trial at Taunton Crown Court.
Alistair Luke Rutter, 25, of Deerswood Gardens, Street and Danny Hughes, 39, of Severalls Park Avenue, Crewkerne, appeared in the dock together before District Judge Lynne Matthews sitting at Yeovil.
They were jointly charged with stealing a Honda TRX quad bike worth £2,500 belonging to Stewart Hyslop at Crewkerne between June 15 and June 18.
Both defendants pleaded not guilty to the offence and also went on to elect to stand trial at Taunton Crown Court.

The case was adjourned until Monday October 7 when Rutter and Hughes must appear for a preliminary hearing at the crown court.
In the meantime they were both released on bail with a condition of residence at their home addresses.
