FAMOUS faces from the world of sci-fi swapped the nuclear wasteland of Skaro and the ice planet of Hoth for Yeovil last week.

An afternoon of celebrations took place at the leisure park with a 5k charity run and a laser display. The public were able to get up close to the feared aliens and meet the Doctor. All the money raised on the day was donated to St Margaret's Hospice.
Then on Saturday, Stormtroopers from Star Wars hit the high street to raise money for Yeovil District Hospital's Flying Colours Appeal.

Bemused shoppers were confronted by Darth Vader and a small a small army of troops as they wondered up Middle Street.
But this time the Galactic Empire were a force for good, raising £946.35.
The UK Garrison, the world's largest and most accurate Star Wars costuming and re-enactment group, support the Flying Colours Appeal because Paul Andrews, a Yeovil-based member, had twins who were cared for in the Special Care Baby Unit which forms part of the Women's Hospital and is one of the facilities in line to be upgraded using funds raised from the appeal.
