School is the tops
Croscombe Primary School has been named as the top scoring school in Somerset this year for SATs results.
They achieved this as a result of the number of Level 5s the children of last summer's Year 6 achieved in both English and maths. One pupil even managed a Level 6 in maths.
Head teacher Sue Budden said: "We're feeling very proud. The teachers pupils all worked very hard to improve our teaching and curriculum."
Croscombe Primary received some help from Whitstone School, in Shepton Mallet, who leant them one of their maths teachers as part of the Community Learning Partnership.
