SWIMMING: Norton Radstock triumph at Cotswold League match
Despite missing several experienced members Norton Radstock Swimming Club won the latest Cotswold League match in fine style, beating Bridgwater and two teams from Bristol.
With a maximum 208 points available, Norton scored 190 after winning 36 of the 52 races in the home gala. Three club records were broken at the event, two by Mary Inns and one by Connie Glover.
The club’s performance in the relays was typical of the strength and depth of talent they possess, as they were victorious in 13 of the 16 races.
Both Inns and Callum Ford won all three of their individual races and there were double victories for Maisie Gudmunsen and Nick Britton.

The club is grateful for the support received from the large number of newly-qualified club officials and judges, as well as parent volunteers. They would also like to thank referee Graham Cockill and Rob and his staff at South Wansdyke Leisure Centre for their help and support.
Due to an early season postponement because of bad weather, Norton Radstock now have two matches on successive weekends in April before the league splits for the play-offs.
