SAVOURING EUROPE
On the first Saturday of the Frome Festival, July 4, HOME in Frome and Reel People Film Society, based in Kilmersdon, will be showing two of Robert Golden's Savouring Europe films – Italy and Belgium, films on local food cultures and what that means to both producers and consumers in the different countries of Europe.
Doors open at 7pm at the Cheese and Grain and the screening starts at 8pm.
A special bar for the evening will reflect the film themes selling Italian wines and Belgian beers as well as Somerset cider.
In addition, taster plates of food from Italy and Belgium will be on sale.
Tickets cost £4 from the Frome Festival Box Office at the Cheese and Grain Hall.
Some tickets will also be available on the door.
Mr Golden will lead a discussion about the films to round off the evening.
Earlier in the day, the director will be conducting an all-day photography masterclass in Frome, details from the festival box office on 01373 455420.
The films and masterclass link with a major exhibition of his photographs at the Silk Mill, Frome.
The Reel People Film Society's next big event is an outdoor screening of Mamma Mia! in Kilmersdon on Saturday, September 5.
