Runner Larry Dando's reputation acts as a spur for family effort
The family of keen runner Larry Dando are following in his footsteps and raising money for his favourite charity by taking part in a half marathon this month.
Mr Dando, from Midsomer Norton, died in January this year.
And now his brother, Chris Dando, and nieces Carla Swift and Mandy Rawlings are to take part in the Bristol Half Marathon on September 15 in his memory.
The trio will be sporting the same running strip as Mr Dando used to wear and will also be raising funds for the MS Society which he supported.

Mr Dando, who worked for Welton Bibby and Bag, was a member of the Somer Athletic Club and was a familiar sight on his training runs.
Carla said: "Everyone knew him for his running and at his funeral, dad and I decided we would enter an event in his memory and Mandy said she would join us.
"This is our family tribute to him. My uncle always supported the MS Society because one of his friends suffered from the illness.
"Larry had even run his last big event, the London Marathon, for the charity."
Carla admitted that when it came to running they were novices, but all had been training and pushing their limits to get ready for the event.
She said: "We would like to say thank you to everyone that has sponsored us so far and for their continued support particularly our big sponsors Dickies UK and A David and Co and the Crossways Tavern who are also giving us support."
