Robyn Veater sets sights on World Water Ski Championships
A Radstock teenager is aiming for a place at next year’s World Championships after picking up a bronze medal at the British Water Ski Championships earlier this year.
Robyn Veater, 15, first tried the sport at the age of eight and took part in her first race three years ago. She has since been part of the Brit Kid team at the European Championships, but will move up to the junior category next year.
The Writhlington School pupil will take part in three selection races next year as she bids to get a place on the British team for September’s World Championships in Tenerife, needing a podium finish to secure her place.
Her dad Alan drives the boat for her and younger brother Joe is also hoping to join the national championships next year as a Brit Kid.
