Road rescues continue as drivers still ignore flood dangers
Motorists are still ignoring warnings not to drive on flooded roads unless they can see the road surface.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue crews rescued a lorry driver on A361 East Lyng to Burrowbridge road on Wednesday night, a driver from Long Drove, Glastonbury, less than an hour earlier, and a man trapped on the roof of his car on the A361 Burrowbridge where road closed signs were in place at 4.29am.
More substantial signs were put in position.

“Idiots all and should be charged for the cost of their rescue! All road closed signs should have that warning.”
