Repairs to a river wall damaged by floods in Somerset is set to cost £1.8 million.

Somerset County Council has said the costs have increased because of a 10-week delay caused by recent heavy rain. On November 5, 20011, part of the river wall at West Quay in Bridgwater collapsed after heavy rainfall.

The council said it expect to complete the project, which also includes repairs at East Quay and Town Bridge, by the end of May.
