Father Christmas will be bringing his reindeer to Wells on Sunday for the sixth time with all the usual attractions. The day's fun starts at 11.15am in the Market Place with the official opening and the presentation of children's prizes by the Mayor of Wells and the president of Wells Rotary.

Bibbo the Clown and the Witch from Wookey Hole Caves will be performing.

Various stalls will be in place including a pig roast, a children's roundabout and pony and trap rides along the Bishop's Palace moat walk.

From 11.30am children will be able to visit Father Christmas in his grotto at the Swan Hotel until 4pm.

From 11.45am to 4pm the Christmas Tree Festival, held in St Cuthbert's Church, will be open.

At noon the reindeer procession will start in the Market Place, go down the High Street, Broad Street into Queen Street before returning to the Market Place.

At 12.30pm the reindeer arrive back in their stalls in the Market Place and will be there until 2.15pm, so don't forget to pay them a visit before they head off to help Father Christmas.

From 12.45pm to 1.15pm Wells City Band will be playing in the Market Place and at 2pm they will be at St Cuthbert's Church.

They will be followed by Cantabile Ladies' Choir, conducted by Tracey Hansford, who are singing until 1.45pm.

From 2pm The Drystones folk duo will be performing until 2.45pm when events come to a close.
