Region promotes its charms to Germany
The drive to bring more international tourism to Somerset revs up later this month as representatives from five leading German tour operators fly in to sample delights as diverse as vintage steam and designer stores. Visit Somerset, the county's independent tourism association, has organised the visit with the help of Flybe, the Exeter-based low-cost airline. The visitors arrive next week and will also see the natural wonders of Cheddar Gorge.
