More wet weekend weather played havoc with the area's football fixtures, with all fixtures involving mid-Somerset's senior sides postponed.

The Toolstation Division 1 derby between Cheddar and Shepton Mallet was called off, while Wells and Street saw their respective Premier Division trips to Hallen and Longwell Green Sports also fall victim to the rain.

City and the Cobblers were due to face off at the Athletic Ground yesterday, while Shepton enterained Welton Rovers and Cheddar travelled to Portishead Town.

Wells host Melksham Town on Saturday, with Street also at home as Hallen visit the Tannery Ground. Shepton Mallet travel to Cribbs Friends Life, with Cheddar away again, facing a trip to Westbury United (all 3pm).

The busy festive schedule concludes on New Year's Day when Street host Barnstaple Town and Wells travel to Devon to take on Buckland Athletic.

Cheddar finally get to play a fixture at Bowdens Park when they entertain Hengrove Athletic, with Shepton away again as they make the short trip to Warminster Town (all 3pm).
