Rail passengers hit by evening delays after 'major power failure'
Thousands of rail passengers had their journeys back to the West Country disrupted on Friday night following a “major power failure” on South West Trains from London Waterloo.
All services were affected after the “wide-spread loss of signalling across the network”.
A spokesman for South West Trains said the issue had now been resolved.
In a separate issue on Saturday morning, some services to and from London Waterloo were being affected by an electrical supply problem to the level crossings between Barnes and Richmond.
