Pardoes' very own Rachel Oaten took on the challenge of abseiling Split Rock Quarry, near Wookey to raise money for St Margaret's Hospice.

"The 100 ft abseil which took place on Sunday 16th September was a great way to get the adrenaline pumping and one of the scariest things I have ever done," says Rachel.

She continues to describe her awakening adventure as one where she felt as though her heart could not beat any faster but as she go into the swing of things a huge sense of achievement washed over her.

Rachel, who is part of our Private Client team, raised an amazing £170, all of which will go to the Yeovil and Taunton based charity; she comments that she is thrilled that St Margaret's Hospice allowed her the opportunity of taking part in such a wonderful and memorable experience and wants to say a big thank you to everyone who sponsored her.
