Bristol Harlequins turned up at Sharpham Road hoping to gain revenge for a narrow 29-31 defeat earlier in the season.
But Cheddar were in no mood to let their opponents dominate and the dye was cast as early as the fifth minute when, after some good rucking, Sam Balkham scored under the posts. Stan Smith converted to give Cheddar the ideal start.
The Somerset side had their forwards to thank for securing some good ball and from one of the rucks, hooker Alex Perkins broke loose and, from five yards out, was never going to be stopped. Smith again converted the try.
The home side extended their lead when another good phase of rugby ended with winger Sam Bates crossing the line.
The second half was a tighter affair, with Connor Baker and Earl Shearing tackling well.
The scoring was rounded off following a Cheddar lineout which saw Perkins throwing long to centre Smith, who exchanged passes with Balkham before scoring under the posts. He converted his own try.

Cheddar were more settled in the second game, but Weston scored in the first half. The visitors replied with a fine second try from Veal, only for the home side to score again. Louis White drew Cheddar level with a run through the defence to score an excellent try.
Cheddar attempted to hang on for a deserved draw, only for Weston to apply pressure and score the winner.
Weston U9s v Cheddar U9s
Cheddar took a while to switch on against Weston and by the time they had, the home team had run in four tries.
With their minds back on the game, however, Matthew Charles and Louis Morris touched down.
In the second game, Cheddar took the lead when Charles ran in two of his three tries. Michael Amey shrugged off tackles to score before half-time, while Toby Shaw also ran in three tries.
Weston put all their biggest players onto the pitch in the second half, but even this could not keep Cheddar at bay.
Henry Lorimer topped a great game with some superb support play and was rewarded with a try for his efforts.
Weston managed to pull back a few tries, but Michael Broadbent was next to score for Cheddar.
Weston continued to try and smash through the Cheddar defence, but solid defence by Frank Morris, Will Spinks and Xanda Hartley kept the home side at bay.
The play of the game came just before the final whistle with a storming run by man of the match Finton Carroll, who smashed through the defence and offloaded for Louis Morris to score.
Result: Cheddar 55 Weston 20.
