Pupils stage their own Olympic torch relay
Children at a Midsomer Norton school are experts on the Olympics after holding their own torch relay and opening ceremony.
Pupils at St Benedict's School will be enjoying lots of Olympic-themed lessons over the next few weeks - in history, geography, art, music and others.
Head teacher Tony Nicholas explained that they started the project with the relay. Each class made their own torch and every pupil had the chance to take it home for a night.
They took pictures and these have now been put up in the school as a reminder of a special event in St Benedict's history.

Radstock charity runner John Reynolds came to lead the procession at the opening ceremony and brought along a real Olympic torch which he had carried when the relay visited Frome.
Mr Nicholas said Mr Reynolds "stayed all afternoon and was wonderful with the children".
