Pupils at St Aldhelm's School in Doulting were given rousing cheers by the audience as they staged their highly acclaimed Panto Pandemonium.

There was plenty of enthusiastic audience participation which all added to the fun and the atmosphere at the performances put on at the school by children in Year 2 and Year 3 last week.

The whole audience sang along with gusto, and booed and hissed at the baddies, enjoying the traditional pantomime atmosphere.

Each performance was nearly 90 minutes long and packed full of wonderful singing, acting, story-telling and dancing.

"We are so proud of you all, and it was a brilliant way to finish for half term," head teacher Joy Mounter told the children.

“Plunging into panto? Makes a change from panties I suppose.”
