Pring makes flying start with Swindon success
Nailsea pupil Noah Pring has made an excellent start to his 2012 tennis campaign with victory in his first tournament of the year.
At the 16-and-under event in Swindon, top seed Pring started in with a 4-0, 4-0 win and followed that up with an impressive 4-1, 4-0 success.
Pring continued his fine form with a 4-1, 4-0 victory over second seed Tom Williams in the final.
Meanwhile, a new term of coaching has started at Nailsea Tennis Club and coach Matt Rogers says that now is an ideal time for people to take up the sport.
"It's important to have an all-year programme to allow players to develop continuously," said Rogers.
"It helps attract and retain players as they are able to commit to an activity knowing that it doesn't just take place during the traditional tennis season. The new year could be an ideal time to start a new activity."
