Who says hedgehogs have no taste?
The lil’ prickly fellows at Prickles Hedgehog Rescue Centre turn to the Cheddar Valley Gazette for their news – when they are not nesting in it.

Each of the 157 hogs need 16 sheets of print to line their daily-cleaned cases, with a few pages scrunched up for their nests.
That’s 2,512 pages – or just 20 copies of the Cheddar Valley Gazettes.

When asked if we could spare any papers, the Gazette jumped at the chance to help.
Ironically we did not have many spares due to ongoing strong sales of the paper.
But the hogs didn’t go without as we handed over stacks of our other titles with the promise of more as needed.
Now all the hedgehogs need are some more volunteers and cat food – chicken in jelly preferably as the hogs are not fussed on fishy tastes and gravy “gives them the trots”.
