Police seek witnesses for hit and run in Langport

A TEENAGER was taken to hospital following a hit and run in Langport.

Police are appealing for witness after a driver failed to stop following the incident at a pedestrian crossing on North Street, near Tesco.

The male teenager was taken too Musgrove Park Hospital as a precaution after suffering minor leg and arm injuries.

The incident happened on Saturday, March 9.

Police said a dark coloured – possibly grey – Volvo estate stopped shortly after the incident but then drove off in the direction of Huish Episcopi.

They have urged anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to contact Somerton Police Station on 101 or visit www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact/crime_reporting.
