Police renew witness plea after elderly pedestrian dies in Weston-super-Mare

Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses after an elderly woman died while crossing the road in Weston-super-Mare.

The 82-year-old pedestrian died at the scene at Nutwell Road, Worle, after a collision with a Mercedes lorry at around 1.30pm on Monday, December 10.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "The road was closed at the time while we began an investigation into the collision and our enquiries have continued since.

"We would still like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has information which might help us with our investigation."
