Police investigate after empty car fire in Wellington
Police are investigating after a car left the road and hit a tree in the middle of the night.
Emergency callers initially reported that people were trapped in the vehicle when it veered off the carriageway at Old Way Road in Wellington, Somerset, at 3.15am on Saturday.

Police are working to establish who was driving the vehicle, and who owned it
Two fire crews attended, and found the vehicle on fire, but they soon established that nobody was inside.
The fire was extinguished, and officers from Avon and Somerset Police said they are now working to establish who was driving the vehicle, and who owned it.
