Police arrest three people nearly 13 years after Wookey assault
Officers investigating a serious assault which occurred nearly 13 years ago in Wookey, have arrested three people.
Trevor Mirams was assaulted about 9.30pm on April 29, 2000, in the front garden of his home in Knowle Lane. Mr Mirams received serious injuries to his left leg, which left him permanently disabled and unable to work.

The assault was investigated at the time and a man was arrested and released without charge.
The case, which has always remained open, was recently reviewed. This has resulted in the arrest of three people – two men, aged 33 and 58, and 48-year-old woman.

The 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and the 58-year-old man and 48-year-old woman on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
All three have been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
DCI Simon Crisp, senior investigating officer, said: "We will never close an investigation. Following the review of the case we have been able to make these arrests.
"We would still like to hear from anyone who believes they have information to help our investigation," said DCI Crisp.
