Police appeal for witnesses of attempted robbery in Weston
A MAN grabbed a woman's necklace from around her neck during an attempted robbery in Weston-super-Mare.
The incident occurred at around 3.45pm on Wednesday October 2, 2013.
The victim, a woman in her 50s, was walking along the boulevard towards the sea front, in the area of Bottleinos, when a man walking in the opposite direction grabbed a gold necklace she was wearing.
He tried to pull it off and left empty handed when the victim pushed him away. She was left with a number of scratches as as result the attempted robbery.

The assault was reported to police and an investigation has begun to identify the person responsible.
The suspect is described as a white man, mid-20s, slim build and around 5'6" tall. He was wearing a blue anorak which was slightly baggy around the waist and may have had inch-wide square stitching.
The area is likely to have been busy with other pedestrians and motorists at that time of day.
