Police appeal after two officers are injured in Yeovil altercation
Two police officers were taken to hospital following an incident in Yeovil last night.
The officers were called to Highfield Road at around 6pm yesterday evening following reports of a man in a car who would not leave an address, police said.

"As the police officers approached the car he was in, they received injuries," said Avon and Somerset Police in a statement.
"Both were taken to hospital where one was treated for minor burns to his arm and another for an injury to the eye."

A 53-year-old man has been arrested and remains in police custody.
