Pluckers continue to pull away from danger
Castle Cary Res 1 Butleigh Dynamos 2
Butleigh Dynamos made it three wins on the spin when they overcame struggling Castle Cary to continue their climb away from the wrong end of the Yeovil & District League Division 1 table.
In an even first half, Cary put the Pluckers under pressure when their midfield broke and back-pedalling Dynamos keeper Robbie Growdon was relieved to see a shot come back off a post.
Good work from Jonny Edmondson and the returning Josh Berkeley soon allowed the visitors to take control and a foul on Will Edmondson gave Cameron Richards the chance to deliver a testing set-piece into the box.

The clearance came back to Richards and the young forward showed good technique to dribble into the box. His pull-back across goal nutmegged the Cary keeper, with Chris Slade on hand to turn the ball home.
Harry Tabor and Richards were encouraged to shoot on sight, while Jonny Edmondson also saw an effort fly wide. Cary should have equalised on the stroke of half-time when a striker rose highest to head goalwards but the ball sailed over Growdon's crossbar.
Bursting out of the blocks in the second period, Matt Crothers, Berkeley, Edmondson, Tabor and Jamie Seviour combined to created Slade's second goal when Seviour's lofted cross to the back post was clinically converted by the Butleigh winger.
Seviour, in particular, enjoyed a fine game, while Matt Cox and Rich Crees were dominant in the second period. Sam Edmondson and Gary Lansley entered the fray in the final 20 minutes and used all of their experience to see out the victory.
Cary grabbed a late consolation due to the sheer weight of numbers in the box and Butleigh breathed a sigh of relief when Growdon collected following a goalmouth scramble that saw the ball trickle along the line.
