Playing field left in 'horrendous' condition by revellers
COXLEY Playing Field was left in a “sickening” condition after late-night revellers left their rubbish strewn across the field.
The scene was discovered by Anne O’Connell, landlady of the nearby Pound Inn when she went to walk her dog early Sunday morning.
She said: “I found as I walked through that it was impossible to run my dog.
“The place was littered with a variety of potentially dangerous items, including gas canisters, balloons, and beer bottles by the dozens, beer cans, supermarket bags, electrical cables and hammers.”

Mr Ford said: “It was horrendous. It took more than an hour to clean up.”
The police were called and they are appealing for witnesses.
Inspector Mark Nicholson said: “Antisocial behaviour such as this will not be tolerated.”
