Planning appeals, application and decisions in Bridgwater
THE following applications and appeals have been submitted to Sedgemoor District Council's headquarters in Bridgwater for approval:
Mr A Smith applied to build a single-storey extension at 5 Queenswood Road in Bridgwater to form a hobby room.
At 1 Brendon Road in Bridgwater, Mr A Kadir applied to increase the size of pre-proposed extension.
Mr and Mrs Manley applied for a certificate of lawfulness for the proposed replacement of a glazed window at Quarry House in Broadway, Chilton Polden, with clear glass.
On land to the west of 1 North Street in North Petherton, Mr Watkins applied to build a two-storey home on site of an existing garage, which would be demolished.
Mr D R and Mrs A M Woolacott applied to build a detached home with a garage and formation of access on land next to Acorn Lodge in Moorland Road, Moorland.
At 56 Estuary Park in Combwich, Mr and Mrs S Chinn applied to build a single-storey extension.
Mr Kelly applied to build a three-storey home with double garage and formation of access at 7 Wembdon Orchard in Wembdon.
In Westonzoyland, Mr Jennings applied to build a first-floor dormer extension and new porch at 3 Oakley Close.
Mr P Haggett applied to build two farrowing units on OS Field number 1165, north of Chilpitts in Woolavington.
At 2 Mortimer Close in Woolavington, Mr P Steele applied to build a 2m-high garden wall to replace the hedge.
The following decisions were made:
EDF Energy was given permission to display one non-illuminated, projecting, wall-mounted sign at 14 King Square in Bridgwater.
WM Morrison Supermarkets was given permission to remove the building's old fire escape and install a new one and to remove an existing non-loadbearing wall and install new non-loadbearing partition walls at Broadyway in Bridgwater.
At 28 St Mary Street in Bridgwater, DC Homes and Investments was given permission to install six replacement windows to first and second floor.
At McDonald's Restaurant in The Clink, Bridgwater, permission was granted to refurbish the patio and eating area, including the removal of light beams from roof, the removal of a drive-thru booth and the installation of customer order display and a bin corral.
McDonald's was also given permission to display an internally-illuminated sign and logo on the roof, one internally-illuminated freestanding welcome sign with opening hours, two internally-illuminated height restriction signs, one internally-illuminated rotating three-sided price signs, two internally-illuminated rotating double-sided signs, three post-mounted, non-illuminated banner signs, one non-illuminated customer order display unit including a speaker point and colour monitor.
Mr G Ridgment was refused permission to build two homes with parking and formation of access at 29 Parkway in Bridgwater.
At the Jubilee Gardens in Brook Street, Cannington, Cannington Parish Council was given permission to fell one black Italian poplar.
Mr Montgomery was given permission to change the use of a barn at 5 Manor Road in Catcott into a home.
Mr J Kusmirek was given permission by Sedgemoor to build a single-storey extension at 9 Weymont Close in Middlezoy.
At Springfield, 66 South Lane in Nether Stowey, Mr C Knox was given permission to build a single-storey extension.
Mr Walker was given permission to build an extension at the Egg Laying Unit of Haddon Farm in Clavelshay, North Petherton.
At Peart Hall in Church Road, Spaxton, Mr A Kelly was given permission to install a replacement garage roof and doors, replacement of flat roof with a pitched roof, installation of replacement workshop roof, relocation of conservatory door, installation of two french windows to replace existing windows, repair another window, replace a door with a window and new timber doors along with internal alterations.
Mr C Lonsdale was given permission (after an appeal) to retain a haybarn and tractor store at 52a Chapel Road in Pawlett.
