Pigeons get trapped in netting at Shepton Mallet's Amulet
Passers-by were distressed last week at the sight of pigeons stuck in the netting pinned on one of Shepton Mallet's best-known buildings.
Three pigeons who had been roosting on a street lamp got caught up in the netting at the Amulet and were clearly in a panic, according to onlookers.

All the pigeons were later released.
Shepton Mallet town councillors have recently raised the issue of the town centre being besieged by an ever greater pigeon population.
