Pier relay raises funds for track
Members of North Somerset Athletics Club braved the freezing conditions to complete a 24-hour relay, raising funds towards building a specialised athletics and multi-sport venue in North Somerset.
Athletes of all ages completed hundreds of laps of Weston Grand Pier, running from noon on Saturday throughout the night until noon on Sunday.

Runners of all ages, and in a variety of costumes, ran hundreds of laps of Weston Grand Pier from noon on Saturday to noon on Sunday to help raise money for North Somerset Athletics Club's campaign to bring an athletics facility to the area
A replica of the Olympic torch was also carried continuously for the full 24 hours.
