Photograph from the glory days
As Shepton Mallet Football Club members and supporters gear up for the official opening celebrations of their new grandstand in memory of popular sportsman Dean Gregory, Journal photographer Jason Bryant has fittingly stumbled over this photograph dating back to the town's junior side 87 years ago.
The football blast from the past photograph shows the players, officers and committee of the Shepton Mallet Junior Football Club who were winners of the Bruton and District League Cup for the 1922-1923 season.

If any Journal readers can put a name to any of the faces we would love to hear from them.
It could well be a great talking point on Sunday when a special open day is being held at the club in memory of former Shepton player Dean Gregory, who tragically died last September after a long fight against cancer.
An action-packed day is planned, with a charity football match between Shepton and Castle Cary players and a skittles tournament in honour of Dean.
The celebrations will also mark the official opening earlier this week by Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis of the new Dean Gregory Memorial stand at the West Shepton football ground. Money for the new stand was raised by a host of donations and fundraising events in memory of Dean by his family and many friends.
Sunday's open day kicks off at 11am and Dean's family hope to see many friends from his cricket, football and skittling past.
