Pavement progress on Bath Road in Peasedown St John
Bath Road, the main shopping area and through-route in Peasedown St John, is set for major improvements to its pavements.
Work will soon start on repairing most of the worst offenders, with potholes filled and surfaces evened out.
The works follow pressure on Bath and North East Somerset Council's highways department from Councillor Nathan Hartley (Lib Dem, Peasedown)
He said: "For the best part of a year residents have been contacting me to ask for pavements to be fixed, kerbstones to be replaced and pot holes to be filled.
"People have had nasty falls, with some resulting in elderly residents breaking bones."
Most of the work will be carried out before next spring.
