Paulton's play-off hopes suffer a blow with defeat at hands of Hungerford
MATCH REPORT: Paulton Rovers 0 Hungerford Town 2
Paulton Rovers’ bid to claim an Evo-Stik League Southern Division 1 South & West play-off place took a setback when table-toppers Hungerford Town recorded victory at Winterfield Road.
After an even opening, Ben Pugh put the visitors ahead on the half-hour mark, finishing Alan O’Brian’s cross with a powerful volley.
Rovers should have gone into the break level, with Hungerford indebted to goalkeeper Paul Strudley for ensuring their lead remained intact.

Firstly, the Town stopper denied Nick McCootie, before then pulling off a fine save from James Billing’s spot-kick after Strudley was penalised for bringing down McCootie.
Mark Draycott wrapped up the points for the visitors with a neat finish midway through the second half after a perfect cross from Luke Brewer.
The Town striker went from hero to zero when he was sent off with ten minutes remaining but there was no time left for Rovers to get back into the match.
